Sudhir Pandey’s work is intimately concerned with the existence of artworks in the world and, by extension, the nature and lives of inanimate objects. His wrappings have, over the last four years, employed assemblage on which he overlays astrological horoscopes. The resulting works are premised on the fact that the artwork will live beyond a studio environment and that that existence will be subject to the same laws of astrology as humans.  In his most recent series, Pandey has added short wave radio frequencies as a further device to explore the nature of astrology and how predictions might play out with reference to wavelengths that he picks up in his studio.
